Walsh recognized Watermark Risk Management International, LLC yesterday as one of the Department of Labor’s recipients of the 2022 HIRE Vets Medallion Award. Watermark was presented with their third consecutive Gold Medallion Award after applying earlier this year. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing (HIRE) American Military Veterans Act Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans. Awardees must show a consistent commitment to hiring veterans and prove they have a long-term career and growth plan in place at the company to utilize the diverse and valuable skill sets veterans acquire throughout their military service.

Recipients of the 2022 HIRE Vets Medallion Award must meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages; availability of veteran-specific resources; leadership programming for veterans; dedicated human resource efforts; pay compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans.
